Raleigh St. Augustine is a vigorous, medium green, medium textured lawn grass. Raleigh is presently the highest-ranking cold tolerant SAD (St Augustine Decline) resistant variety of St. Augustine available. St. Augustine is commonly used as a ground cover in pastures and ranches, thanks to its drought tolerance and hardiness.

St Augustine can be started with plugs, sprigs or sod; once cultivated, it spreads on its own by means of runners. It's a grass that's well suited for tropical and subtropical regions.
